GROUP 3
COLLABORATIVE WORLDMAKING

A wildlife shelter focused on the protection of koalas and other species endangered by the Australian bushfires inspired by the form and protective properties of the symbiotic relationship of clownfish and anemone.

The shelter is created from organic material, a new form of genetically engineered bacteria that repels fire and provides sustenance. Its organic nature provides the shelter with regenerative properties, thus the animals' consumption is not a concern and does not damage the structure itself. To lure the animals to safety in events of fire, the bacteria are engineered to release pheromones when exposed to high temperatures.

The shelter functions as a self-sufficient biome with rainwater reserves in the holloed anemone branches.
